Hello, and welcome to Brick Aficionado, where we cast a discerning eye on the world of bricks.

At launch, our primary focus will be on providing capsule reviews plus ratings of our favorite LEGO sets on a scale of 1-100.

How are we different from the tens/hundreds/thousands of other brick review sites out there? Simply put, most reviews are inherently subjective, and our subjectivity is the best. We are aficionados. Our 1-100 rating scale offers precision and refinement that can’t be captured with basic stars. From time to time, we will step beyond the boundaries of minifigure scale to tackle important “real world” subjects such as economics and sustainability. We will also share pictures of some outstanding MOCs (My Own Creations) that will be just that – our own creations. We won’t be re-posting the same (albeit generally awesome) OPOCs (Other People’s Own Creations) that seem to pop up on many of the other brick-centric sites.
